IONA created this Angel based on a painting by
Leonardo da Vinci, “The Annunciation”, in which the
Angel Gabriel brings a message of hope to the
Virgin Mary. The angel comes to life in a careful
recreation of the Leonardo painting.

Artistic Director Cheryl Flaharty said,
"Angels are messengers, from the divine to earth.
As part of the performance, Angel Gabriel brings a significant
message for each person, and presents it to the audience."
